The name in Russia, Tver' confession lists...

Dear friends,

Maybe, it is not a common question, but I need to find more information about one name in the batch that I indexed today- Россия, Тверь—исповедные ведомости, 1770–1865[M3TF-JYM]. This name is rare in Russia and sounds unusual- ELPIDIFOR, it is under #35 of 81 names.

[One of my ancestors had the same name and also lived in Tver', Rzhevskiy uezd, Zaytsevo village].

I tried to find the time (at least year) and place of that village, but could not: the system allows to see only +5 and -5 images- I needed -6.

I hope someone of the experts knows how to find this information. I am not sure that I found the right person, I am trying to check information about that person.

No, I did not submit that batch (I still believe in miracles) and was waiting for the right answer.

Do you know how to find that page. with the name of the village and the year? Please, help me!

Oh good, I'm glad you still have it!

Open the batch, and then in the upper left hand corner, click on "About Batch"

From there, the image name will be a number with an underscore and another number. The first number is the film number which you can look up in the Catalog. The second number is the image number within the film.

Thank you so much for your explanation! I followed your instruction and found out that it was year of 1851, but the region was different, and the names of relatives do not match with the person I try to find...

Your answer improved my knowledge of FamilySearch, so I will continue to search the metrical books of Rzhevskiy uyezd of Tver' in period of 1860 -1889 (last year I could find 2 books of 1889-1903 and 1904-1909), but still need more information about this line. I tried to find the confession lists for their church (Vvedenskiy pogost pri Tudu- Введенский погост, что при Туду), but could not for now...

I feel very happy that we have an opportunity to index and review the projects in Russian, I am working with Tver' and Kiyv confession lists- this is the only thing I can do for both nations... Sometimes I indexed and reviewed projects in English. Also, I helped with 1950 Census for some states (Utah, Idaho, Arkansas, etc.) You know, nothing can stop God's work.
