Is there a street map of Buckau (near Magdeburg) from about 1880?

Buckau can be found on this map of Magdeburg (grid squares A/B 6/7): https://www.ancestrycdn.com/support/de/2016/11/magdeburg.jpg

Thank you. My great grandmother lived at Karlstrasse 16. My great grandfather lived at Schönebecker Strasse 65 or at Feldstrasse 8 (his family moved between 1879 and 1881). I am just wondering how close they lived to each other.

Feldstrasse and Schönebecker Strasse are just 1 block apart on the map that Ulrich provided. On current maps the street Feldstrasse is now called Karl-Schmidt strasse. Perhaps it was called Karl strasse at one time? Is it possible that the date of your greatgrandmother's address is after the street name changed from Feldstrasse? If so, #8 and #16 were probably on the same block. #65 Schönebecker Strasse was about 600 meters away.

Thank you very much. And again thanks to Ulrich for providing the map. I did not realize just how industrialized Buckau was. The map gives a lot of insight into the living conditions at that time.

Are you sure your GGmother lived in Buckau? There was a Karlstrasse in Magdeburg (grid square F4), now called Schweriner Strasse.
The German Wikipedia (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckau_(Magdeburg)) gives a good overview about the history of Buckau. Please translate with your browser's translate function or DeepL.

Thank you. I am attaching the death record for my great grandmother's sister. Maybe I misread the street name. I am also attaching the marriage record for her brother's marriage in 1881. It looks like they moved and were living on Friedrichstrasse 13.

Yes, it clearly states "Buckau, Karlstraße". Maybe the street was renamed after the incorporation of Buckau into Magdeburg in 1887 to avoid double names within the city limits. It cannot be identical to Feldstrasse/Karl-Schmidt-Strasse though since that street was renamed first after WWII.

You are probably right about re-naming the street. Thank you very much for all your help. The map and the Wikipedia reference were very helpful.
