Can someone please translate this Höhscheid death record?
I am pretty sure this is my 3rd great grandmother's death record. Any information that you can squeeze out might be really helpful, especially her age (74?), birthplace, names of other family members, date of death, etc. Apparently her husband (Carl Wilhelm Knecht) was still living in Feb 1873. https://dfg-viewer.de/show?tx_dlf%5Bdouble%5D=0&tx_dlf%5Bid%5D=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.landesarchiv-nrw.de%2Fdigitalisate%2FAbt_Rheinland%2FPA_2104%2F~024%2F02478%2Fmets.xml&tx_dlf%5Bpage%5D=63&cHash=8644391c261332efb77ffb989c0e75b7

You're welcome, @Gary Knecht.
The striking of the word "ein" is unimportant but because this is a legal document, any changes to it needed to be noted and approved at the time the document was finalized and signed.

Hello Gary,
Translation:
[Left margin]: Death of Anna Catharina Müller, wife of: Carl Wilhelm Knecht.
Death Certificate.
No. 56.
Mayoralty District Höhscheid, District Solingen, Governing District Düsseldorf.
In the year 1873, on the 25th of the month of February in the afternoon at 4:00 pm appeared before me Rudolf Thomas, as the civil registrar of the Mayoralty District of Höhscheid: Carl Wilhelm Knecht, 71 years old, without occupation, residing in Kohlsberg, who stated he was the husband of the deceased, and Carl Knecht, 44 years old, polisher/grinder, residing in Kohlsberg, who stated he was the son of the deceased, and these two stated to me that on the 24th of the month of February of the year 1873 in the afternoon at 3:00 pm at Kohlsberg died: Anna Catharina Müller, wife of the first declarant, born at Gräfrath, Governing District Düsseldorf, 73 years old, without occupation, residing in Kohlsberg, Governing District Düsseldorf, daughter of the deceased married couple in Solingen, whose names and statuses were not provided.
After reading and approval this document was signed by me, the civil registrar, and both declarants. The deletion of the printed word "a" is approved.
Carl Wil. Knecht | Carl Knecht | Thomas.
My comment: Counting the heading "Sterbe-Urkunde" as line 1, count down to line 9 and note that the printed word "ein" is struck-through. The final sentence of the record: "The deletion of the printed word "a" is approved." is referring to this strike-out.

Many thanks @Robert Seal_1.
I see the "ein" is struck-through and its deletion approved. But I can't tell if this is important in any way. Seems pretty routine, but please advise if I'm missing something.
Anna Catharina was daughter of Peter Müller, who died in 1809, and Anna Catharina Hartkopf, whose death record I am still looking for. It's great to have her spouse's and son's ages to confirm their birth records and to know that her son was a grinder/polisher like so many others in this family.
Thanks very much.

It's pure semantics.
"Ein" in the context would be "a" (son, friend, ...).
The person reporting, however, was not A husband - he was THE husband.
