Again my translation doesn't make sense. I'd appreciate any help.

My translation:

you did very well with this text with is strange not only for its old-style language and spelling but also for its meaning. Here are my (minor) spelling corrections:

Bei der Tauff dieser zweÿer Kinder hatt sich ettwas Wunderbarliches zugetragen, welches sonsten nicht bald zu geschehen pflegt, dass nemblich mehr nicht als zwo Manns persohnen, vor dem Altar hinder den Götteln, wie des orts gebreüchlich, gestanden, und doch beeder Kinder Väter wie auch ihre Pfattern (deren drei dazumal) vor handen sind gewesen.

here is my translation:

and here my interpretation:

Usually when two children were baptized you would expect four men to stand behind the children, namely two fathers and two godfathers. In this case the two fathers were only one (because the children were twins) and this one father was also godfather for both children. In addition, the pastor himself (M. Jesaias Rappostus) acted as godfather for Otilia. So the two men standing before the altar were the father Hanß Rübel and the pastor. There were also godmothers, so each child had actually three godparents.

Comment:

Göttel is an old term for a child to be baptized (now called Täufling)

Pfattern is an old version of Gevattern = godparents, sponsors

I don't think these two children were twins though. Hans Rüebel and Otilia had Lorentz. Hans Ruhl, the father of the second child Appolonia was a witness for Lorentz as was Hans Rüebel a witness for Appolonia. Maybe that's why the pastor referred to 2 men because they each witnessed for the other. Appolonia's parents were Hanss Ruhl and Appolonia.
