Charitas Joerger - Record Translation Enquiry
Hello all,
I would like to ask the group for help in translating a record for an ancestor named Charitas Joerger. It is a German record, though not sure if it is in Latin or Kurrent. It is from 1799. I would appreciate translation into English of the record and the signatures at the bottom of the record in addition to the "+" sign under Chatritas' name. If it is not too much trouble a transcription in the original language would be appreciated.

Mr. Neitzel,
Thank you for the translation. It is appreciated. You have done a wonderful job. A quick contextual question hopefully you can help with. It is noticed that the record says Ignatz Sigel, Senator and Treasurer in Bühl was the husband of the godmother Maria Catharina Sigel. The question is this, since godparents were possibly also family friends or relations, would it be possible that Ignatz Sigel being a senator is a clue as to the station in society Charitas Joerger and her father Xaver Joerger and therebby grandfather, Franz Joseph Metzmaier held? Was knowing a senator on a personal level something exceptional at the time or common?

Ignatz Sigel and his wife Maria Catharina were certainly close acquaintances of Xaver Joeger and his wife, though it is difficult for me to know in detail what type of relation they had. If I remember right Ignatz Sigel was also godfather for other children of Xaver Joerger. I am not fully sure what the title "senator" means in this context; he probably held an honorary office in the village.
