Helping a member with reserved names
I am a consultant trying to help a ward member who wants to reserve and do sealings for ancestors. He says his ancestors' work has been reserved by someone else several years ago (in 2017), but he would like the ordinance released to himself so he can get it done as soon as possible. I told him he could message the other person to request the release. He says he's already done that and gotten no response. I didn't know what else to tell him, except that I know the reservation will eventually expire if it doesn't get done, and then he could do the work. Is there anything else I could have told him?

FamilySearch Support can help get the names released. He may need to indicate his relationship and should give the PID of the person he wishes to do. He can send an email to nasupport@familysearch.org (assuming he is in North America, or select the appropriate location).
He should include his phone number and email so Support can contact him with any question or to update him on status of his request.
