Hello Kent,
After Philipp's name does it say bürger or citizen? It says "Bauer" = farmer.
Wife and marriage date are correct.
Children:
- Wilhelm
- Carl Ludwig
- Wilhelm
- Katharina Friederike
- Carl Ludwig
- August [no marks over the u's], born 5 December.
- August [no marks over the u's] (immigrated to America)
Comment: The curved marks over the u's in "August" are called bogens. They are not accent marks, rather they are a scribal convention used to distinguish the "u" from other similarly written letters such as "e" and "n". When transcribing, you should not include these bogens in your transcription. N.B. Bogens should not be confused with umlauts, which are the two dots you sometimes find over the "u" and other letters. Umlauts are accent marks and should be transcribed with the letter, e.g. "ü".
