What place is Matthias Wiedenhoeft from?
I would like some opinions on this record.
Matthias Wiedenhoeft was married to Eva Mahlke on Sept.14, 1845. Attached is the index record showing that they got married in Bukowitz, Schwetz, West Prussia. She was a widow and my guess is her married name was Kreckler or Krecklan. My guess that his occupation was Butcher or Meat Cutter. The main question is the town/village/place he is from... I am not sure what those letters are....maybe Klowsa...or Kloisa. Any clarification would be appricated

Hello @Randy Rudeen,
I read the place as: "Kl. Klonia" = Klein Klonia.
Here is the link to Klein Klonia in Westpreussen from Meyers Gazetteer: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10989044

Hello Randy,
Re: Matthias Wiedenhoefft's occupation:
It's less an occupation and more a description. I read the words before his name as: "der Freischulzensohn" which translates as: the village mayor's son.
Ernest Thode, German-English Genealogical Dictionary, page 81, translates the word "Freischulze" as: "(village) mayor (and founder) of a farm community (free of taxes)".
