Hello Kent,
Translation:
On the 2nd of June [1677] a young little son of Hanß Caspar Becker, citizen and baker, and of the council here, from his wife Jacoba was born here, who hereafter on the 3rd of the same month, the feast of Pentecost, was baptized and was named Hanß Reinhard. Baptismal sponsors were: (1) Hanß Reinhard Metzger, citizen and of the council here, and Anna Dorothea, his wife. (2) Mr. Martin Mos, the customs/tax official, and Anna, his wife.
Comment: I consulted a church calendar and Pentecost did fall on 3 June in the year 1677.

Robert Seal_1 Robert, I'm laughing because here comes Martin Mos, tax official again!!! I didn't see that coming. This document answers my question as to weather Hanß Caspar Becker was a baker as said in some docs or a city official as said in others. He was both. This reminds me of Peter Keller who was a baker and Mayor. Apparently bakers are very friendly, come in contact with lots of people and then find it is easy to move up to Mayor. Thanks and have a great day!!! Kent

You're welcome, Kent. Yes, I recognized Martin Mos(s) from previous records as well.
