Does anyone recognize this uniform?
I am sorry the previous post did not display the picture. This picture of Fritz Schroeder, living in Germany, was sent to his cousin Louise Babbel in or around 1928. She had immigrated to America . Does anyone recognize the uniform? From pictures I have looked at, it seems it may be a World War l officer uniform. In 1928 I know that he was an adult and married, and lived in Billstedt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nancy, A wonderful photograph!!! Since all you can see of the uniform is the collar and a few buttons I found this photo of a sergeant that looks similar:
Early military photography Around 1915, Unter-Officer on the left, mark the sergeant lace in the collar and cuff, and the Efreitor (Gefreiter) to the right, mark the small sergeant buttons collars.
Smarter people than I may be able to help you.
