Translation, please
Here are a few words that Google Translate isn't working well with. They are words from a book that lists generations of families in the 1600s and 1700s in Saarbrucken. I would appreciate any help at all.
gefallen
Handstreich gehalten am [date]
Schlagfluss
Anmerkung
Thank you, Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, It helps to have a sentence at least for content as words can have different meanings in different contexts.
For instance, gefallen can mean killed in action or 'to please', a favor, or as the noun 'pleasure'.
Handstreich gehalten am [date] - coup or surprise attack stopped on [date]. Context clues would help.
Schlagfluss - apoplexy or stroke
Anmerkung - notes, comments, annotations
I recommend the LEO Dictionary https://dict.leo.org/german-english/anmerkung

Thanks for responding, Holly.
Some of these words are listed in a "Key" for abbreviations noted for a person named in a family group. Example: X= gefallen.
For Handstreich gehalten, this is the info for Mathias Kuntz:
KUNTZ Mathias
*1665 R, Y 1681 Bi
"ooI 26.01.1686 Bi Handstreich gehalten am 09.01.1687"
LUCK, Anna Margareta [his first wife]
burial date 02.02.1704 [no DOB]
followed by a list of their children and their DOB and other notes.
An asterisk= errechnetes Geburtsdatum (Calculated date of birth); ooI = first marriage; Bi = Bischmisheim.
That is as much context that is available in the text. Mathais, after the death of his first wife, married a second time and in 1710 he, his 2nd wife and all his children from both marriages emigrated as part of the Palatines who settled along the Hudson River in New York State thanks to financial assistance from England's Queen Ann.
I hope this helps. Thank you very much. It was kind of you to take the time to respond.
Elizabeth
