Completing death record transcription David Singer 1814
Hi! I have just been learning how to read Kurrentschrifte and am now attacking my ancestors' records, so would like to periodically get help to make sure I am on the right track! This is a first one: a death record for David Singer in 1814 in Billigheim, Pfalz. I have transcribed the record as:
Transcription:
Tag der ?? : 1 Januar 1814
Personalia: ackersman u. eheman von Maria Anna Gehl er starb auch der an der herschenden krankheit den faul-fieber nach _??_ 10 Tägigen Krankheit in _??__ Alter von 57 Jahren
Translation:
Date of burial: 1 January 1814
Personal information: Farmer and husband of Maria Anna Gehl. He also died of the prevailing disease “foul fever” (typhus) after _??_ 10 days illness at _??_ age of 57 years
Do you spot any major errors? Also:
(1) I don't recognize the word for burial circled in red as one of the standard ones used. Does anyone know what it is?
(2) I couldn't figure out the other two words circled in red. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Tom

Hello Tom,
Your transcription and translation are both excellent. Well done!
Here are the missing words you asked about (shown in bold):
Tag des Todes | Tag der Geburt: 1 Januar 1814
Personalia: Ackersman u. Eheman von Maria Anna Gehl. Er starb auch
deran der herschenden Krankheit den Faul-Fieber nach einer 10 Tägigen Krankheit in einem Alter von 57 Jahren.Comment: Look closely: It appears the first "der" is struck-through. Eliminating it doesn't affect your translation.

Thanks @Robert Seal_1 ! Yes, I thought the column title was geburt, but as you know, it usually shows the burial date -- which is what is actually shown in my ancestor's record. Mixed signals ;)

You're welcome, Tom. Definitely mixed signals.
