I just noticed that the image is named "joannes mett birth", but the child was baptized, Joannes Thaddaeus Roth. One of the godparents was Maria Anna Mettauer, the legitimate daughter of Mr. Johann Peter Mettauer. The record is dated 5 July 1778. I also seem to see that the child had originally been baptized by the midwife because he was in danger of death. Some other phrases are a bit unclear; hence my request above.
I wonder if this record even pertains to the person you need. If it does, it's certainly worth digging a little deeper. :)
