Searching the family tree is now as broken as searching the records.

I am working with the records from Versmold, Westphalia.

If I search the records for a name and date, I get hits from all over Prussia, no matter how I specify the location of Versmold, usually not including the record that actually matches the search.

I was getting around this by searching the family tree for Versmold, Halle, ... but the place names have changed to Kreis Halle. No matter which one I select, I get hits that are over a century outside my search, but the one that I specifically described, and know exists, is not listed.
