Kirk Michael in Arbory, Isle of Man - has there ever been such a place?
I use a lot of Manx records on FamilySearch & one glaring location problem is the village of Kirk Michael in Arbory. Arbory is a parish on the Isle of Man. Kirk Michael (or Kirkmichael) is a village, but not in Arbory. That village is in the parish of Michael (or Kirk Michael in a lot of the church records). There is certainly no village by that name in Arbory. I've searched to see if there is (or has been) a locality called Kirk Michael in Arbory, but haven't found anything.

This is the one we are not sure why it is there. I did search some records, and this name of "Kirk Michael in Arbory". There are records with this name. I suspect someone created this place to meet thier needs of a Standardized Place with that name.

I have asked our indexing team to investigate if "Kirk Michael in Arbory" is an error. Looking at the images of records, that appear with this name, are for Kirk Michael, and not for Arbory.
