AI shows in the 1940 census a wrong birth year of 1870 when the census shows
This picture shows Mary Franziske Yesberger (Mary Kerns KCD8-RXL) 83 years old in 1940 which calculates to being born in 1853. Yet AI said she was born in 1870. What is going on?

There are two separate 1940 censuses attached to profile KCD8-RXL.
The DQS calls out the possible error -
In one she is 70, and in the other, she is 83.

I'm not sure which part of the website was saying she was born in 1870. You are correct, she was born in 1853.
Áine Ní Donnghaile is correct that there are 2 censuses for 1940 attached. I believe the one where she is listed as 70 actually should be attached to Mary Barbara Grosskopf (L5KD-6MD)
