unable to not detach people on merges
When addressing a merge possibility we used to be able to check a name to not add on the merge if it was going to create a duplicate such as another family member that already exists This is now creating a duplicate and we have to go back though and get rid of the duplicates it made while merging

Those duplicates need to be kept with the family and merged as appropriate. Removing them during a merge will leave free-floating profiles in Family Tree that still need to be merged. I view it as an improvement that editing relationships and merging cannot be done as a combined task. There has always been just too much risk in doing so.
