Help I'm missing a thousand years & I'm so confused!

I thought I'd try my hand at translating a record... Johann Ludwig Gross/Adelhelm
I'm missing a thousand years to begin with. And then it goes downhill from there. He is illegitimate (they marry in 1839) ... no biggie.
After his mother's name is Maria Elisabeth Gross without any explanation of who she is. And after Anna Clara is illegitimate daughter. That makes no sense.
Can someone tell me where I went wrong?
I'm going to attach the microfilm copy I have. And my attempt to translate it.

Hello Martha, you did really well in transcribing and translating this record. The problem is the the nested sentence structure. I've tried to modify it into a more english sounding construction:
In the year eighteen hundred thirty seven (1837) on seventeenth (17) November in the afternoon at 3 pm was born and baptized in the evangelical protestant parish of Neuenheim on the 19th November (9ber is November!) at 11 am: Johann Ludwig, a son, illegitimate. The mother is Anna Catharina Gross, illegitimate daughter of Maria Elisabeth Gross, [who is] now married [with] Friedrich Adelhelm, at that time the legitimate, unmarried daughter of the citizen and wine gardener Jacob Gross in Neuenheim and his wife Anna Clara née Dreher. Witnesses: ...
So Johann Ludwig is the (illegitimate) son of Anna Catharina who is the (illegitimate) daughter of Maria Elisabeth who is the (legitimate) daughter of Jacob Gross and Anna Clara Dreher.
Maria Elisabeth married Friedrich Adelhelm after the birth of Anna Catharina.
The father of Johann Ludwig is Johann Friedrich Adelhelm according to the note of recognition; apparently a son of Friedrich Adelhelm.

Friedrich and Anna Catharina are as far as I got. But now I have two more generations,
And I only got this far because Johann Ludwig married a Ripper and a Hoer (both very unusual surnames).
But even though I have lots of children before marriage, the fathers always claimed the child.
It makes it very interesting to say the least,
