Sursee LU - individual - 2020 - Iglo - contact?
Hi, Sorry for my general question, but I hit a brick wall, so I'm trying everything possible. I have the marriage record of my ancestor Jacob Johann Iglo from Klodzko from 1761, which states that his father was Secretary to the Bavarian Government. But I can't get through this year. I have now found that someone named Kevin Iglo works/has worked in Sursee, but I have no way of contacting him. So I would like to ask if anyone has come across the Iglo name during their family research. Thank you, John

Is this the source you are referring to? Iglo is not a name listed in the Register of Swiss Surnames - and I rather doubt that this was a Swiss surname in 1761. Consequently I consider it highly unlikely that someone in this group will research this family.
If I understand correctly, however, you are just trying to connect to a person of this surname, living in Switzerland. There is no-one with this surname listed in the Swiss telephone directory - but then today many people only have a mobile phone and are not listed. You could try to contact his employer.
More promising is to try contact other researchers interested in this surname - check GlobalGenSearch - or are you the Jan Hladik submitting most of this info yourself?
In 1761 Klodzko (Glatz) belonged to Preussen - so the Germany group might be the better place to ask for help.

Yes, that's exactly the source I'm referring to. I tried to contact his employer as well, but to no avail. And yes, what is available on GlobalGenSearch is data from me or my uncle. I tried to contact various genealogy groups and archives, I visited some in person, but nowhere did I get information that would move me further. I know that Iglo is not a Swiss name, basically it doesn't fit anywhere, but maybe someone with this name could have been a godfather or a witness at a wedding and this new record could point me in the right direction
