I have a condrum. I have a name I am searching for, but I only know the first three letters of the given name; i.e. Fra Bagby. If I search for Fra* Bagby I get too many irrelevant hits. I can't do "Fra* Bagby" because the "" expect an exact name of Fra* Bagby, which is not what I am looking for.
How can I make that search without getting too many irrelevant hits? I want what the "" implies when I search "Fra* Bagby". I know that won't work, but that is exactly what I want to search for without getting all the Fra* and all the Bagby.
Is this doable? It would be nice.

I have been looking primarily at Deeds (Land transactions) and find that the translation of the documents are about 75%. That is better than me manually translating it!
I have found so many documents that previously had been so difficult to get through that I probably have months of work!
If I am looking at a document and want to add it to "Attach to Tree", I find that there is no source/citation! I am having to create my own, manually and then add it to the notes because once the source is created, you can't go back and add the citation. This has been my biggest issue. What citation is there is not a full citation and most of the time it doesn't get included in the attachment.

I personally don't care to have a PDF file since the translation is not 100%. I would prefer to have the option to get an *.rtf file so I can load it into Microsoft Word or equivalent. A simple text file would be just fine as well as an option.
I will take a text file and load it into RootsMagic.

I am in agreement with MichaelDavidson3's comment. Could it be possible to download as other than a PDF? I am copying and pasting the transcript into a text document and having to go back and copy and paste the source location. So far I am loving what this tool is doing. There are corrections that have to be made to the transcript, but the ability to search the millions of records is really groundbreaking. Thank you Family Search for using AI in such a useful way.

Searching for exact phrases using quotation marks is a feature of a BOOLEAN search. Using wildcards such as ? and * are also common BOOLEAN operators for replacing unknown letters in a search word. Unfortunately, the BOOLEAN search protocol does not permit the use of wildcards within quotation marks. This is not a limitation unique to the Full Text Search tool but is a general limitation of using BOOLEAN searches.
