Death translation request--Kling
Please translate this death on 17 March 1784 for Elisabetha Christina.
I find it confusing because the record is naming her father Sergant Johannes Kling which is the same on her birth record and her marriage record just recently translated for me. Why is her husband not recorded here (Jacob Vallon as on her marriage record)? Thank you.

Maybe this clears up the confusion. Johannes named two daughters Elisabeth.
In 1717
In 1709

Translation:
On March 17 Elisabetha Christina died, called the old Lies, surviving daughter of the sergeant Johannes Kling [and] was buried on the 19th, aged 74 years, 7 months and 16 days.
Comment: This is clearly the 'older' Elisabetha, born 1709. She probably never married.

"called the old Lies" —can you clarify—is this old german words meaning as you commented ? Is 'Lies' an abbreviation for the name Elisabetha?
In the 1717 record could you translate the parents—Johannes Kling ??meister (master?) and Sabina Frederica, wife ???????

"Lies" or "Liese" is a shortened form of Elisabeth(a). She was called "die alte Lies" (the old Lies) possibly to distinguish her from her sister who had (partly) the same name.
In the 1717 record: Johannes Kling Wachtmeister (Constable/Sergeant) and Sabina Frederica, EheLeute in Greifenstein (married couple in Greifenstein)
