Parish in Berlin XI

I am trying to find parish records from Dankeskirche from 1889-1892.

In 1889, the family lived at Grenzstraße 4.

I was directed to

https://www.bggroteradler.de/?page_id=2228 and found the name of the church - Dankeskirche. Then I was directed to archion but was unable to find anything (I do not have a membership at archion).

What do I do now?

Archion does have parish records for the Dankeskirche for your time frame. See the path below. (Berlin archives -> Berlin-Wedding district -> Dankes parish.

You will need a membership to view the images.

If you have access to Ancestry.com, the Berlin civil birth, marriage, and death records are included there. Clara's death record is here https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/2958/images/41911_prep809_000123-00233?treeid=&personid=&hintid=&queryId=48a76df8fe80d4a8bad90a52ff88c76a&usePUB=true&_phsrc=mTL3843&_phstart=successSource&usePUBJs=true&pId=187258334

The burial is in the Dankeskirche records, see http://www.archion.de/p/3df89e37a0/ .After you have a subscription, this link will take you directly to the page, image 218.

I wonder if someone with an archion account might check a death record for me. I'm not even sure that it is contained here.

Berlin, Brandenburg, schlesische Oberlausitz: Landeskirchliches Archiv in Berlin

Clara Auguste Elise Borchardt - possibly died 31 October 1889 (she would have been 2 years old), She was born 25 Jul 1887 in Neu Ruppin. Parents: Elise Emilie Auguste Hilgert and Carl Friedrich Hermann Borchardt.

    Baerbel,

There is a birth record for Clara Auguste Elise Borchardt on 25 Jul 1887 at

    https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?viewrecord=1&r=an&db=NeuruppinBirths&indiv=try&h=4513

I am aware of the death record you mentioned above in Ancestry. It is for Emilie Auguste Elise Borchardt. And it appears that the burial in archion is also for Emilie Auguste Elise Borchardt.

So I am very confused -- I was unable to find a birth record for Emilie Auguste Elise Borchardt.

It appears that Clara and Emilie might be the same person, but why the name change?

Another situation with this family is the birth of a son Albert Max Emil on 7 Mar 1892 -- no death record in Ancestry

    https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?viewrecord=1&r=an&db=BerlinBirths&indiv=try&h=3126753

Albert is followed by Karl Hermann Emil - no birth record - only a death record of 14 Oct 1894, estimated birth 1892. I am wondering if Albert and Karl are the same person.

    https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?viewrecord=1&r=an&db=BerlinGermanyDeaths&indiv=try&h=186857829

Note that the mother in Clara/Emilie's death record and Karl 's death record is Emilie Auguste Elise (NOT Elise Emilie Auguste).

I was hoping that the parish record might clear up the confusion. Is there a birth record for Albert and death record for Karl?
