entering vitals information
again, i am the one who doesn't know how to put an image of what i am talking about into my post - so if this description does not make any sense, please ask me to try to explain better - i won't be offended
when entering birth/death dates/places, i used to be able to type it in, select the highlighted standardized date from a drop-down by using the tab key, and it would set it as the date, and at the same time move my cursor to the place field
now when i have entered the correct birth/death date, and the standardized is highlighted, i tab to select it, but about 50% of the time, it doesn't select the full highlighted, and it never moves the cursor to the next field
instead, now i must move my hand from the keyboard, to the mouse, and actually click the standardized date/place - i would love to be able to keep the keyboard strokes for this, to be able to just keep going, and not need to take the time to move from keyboard to mouse and back to keyboard
it's a small thing that i can live with, but thought it was worth mentioning, as it would make it a smoother process

I not sure if what I am seeing is what you are having trouble with, but it looks like using the tab key while entering a new date acts just fine as long as long as you use the tab key as many times as it really requires. However editing a date using the tab key does not seem to function as one would expect. This is too complicated to explain in words and a picture isn't enough either. Only a movie will do: https://youtu.be/ROwtVQ9X1ro
It seems that when editing a date, the tab key should act the nearly the same as when first entering a date except it should not change the standard if one already exists. But then clicking on the standard should allow you to change the standard if needed so that it is consistent with how editing place names works.

Gordon, that was very clear - it would be nice to have it be consistent, arrowing down to a standardized selection, and then the tab key keeps the standardized date in the field, whether entering for the first time or editing an existing date
i have gone back to the old version and i can use either the tab key or the mouse
i will probably get used to having to do it differently - but it would be helpful to be able to use key strokes instead of changing to the mouse, and back to the keyboard - and this would be for either dates OR places - standardized selection that the tab key keeps in the field
thank you for the video - it validates that i'm not completely crazy.....at least not today
