Where can I find more information about the chinese that worked in Samoa in 1918/19 on the plantatio
My grandfather Leung Bing came to work in the plantations in Samoa around 1918/19. He had 2 children to my grandmother Vaioleti Sione Skipps. They weren't married in those days. He returned to China around 1947/48 and died there. Been trying to research my chinese side for a while now so if you can help me, that'd be great. Thanks.

I don't know about ship manifest or log for Samoa, you might want to check with the immigration department of that country.
With Chinese genealogy, you do need to know the names and their ancestral village in Chinese characters. See if you can do some research to obtain those info. Maybe start by reading the following pages and see if you can get some clues:

Thanks Lina for taking the time to respond to my question. Will look at these options. Am trying to find evidence or records that has his name on it in Samoa, with Immigration Dept and take it from there. My mother lives in Samoa so she'll be doing that. Appreciate your help.
