Researching my English uncle, Robert Dickens, who lived in Oakey, Cunamulla, Winton (Queensland)
Born in 1930s in Liverpool, emigrated to Australia, worked in sheep stations and as painter/decorator in Queensland in 1950s/60s.
My grandma gave him up as a baby in Liverpool 😥

Katie:
I noticed several listings for Edna May Smith:
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/G8SG-645 B 17 September 1910 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Had two husbands listed: Henry Patrick Flanagan https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/G8SG-G4N and Samuel Phillip Corke https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/G77W-NX4. For Samuel PhillipCorke there are three sources listed which were posted by Charlene Hardcastle. If this is the correct Edna May Smith, she may have information about her that may help in learning more about your uncle. Charlene’s email address is 4silvergma@gmail.com.

Thought it was interesting that it listed Edna’s mother as Anna Maria Dickins since Dickens was a surname you listed for your uncle.

Please review and let me know if any of these appear to be your grandmother. I thought it might help know if at different times alternate surnames could have been listed for your uncle.
