My granddad came from Helenkow. My Mom's name is Helen. Is it possible that granddad memorialized his home town?

There is only one Helenkow listed in Poland, Lodz, province, and there are now only 23 residents. It is possible that your granddad named your Mom after the name of the community where they lived. See if you can find the birth record of your Mom, if she was born in Helenkow.
