Adding additional individuals to an existing group
I attempted to add a spouse to my father-in-law and it said "We failed to copy this person into the group tree". I also added an additional spouse and child to my daughter and they did not appear on the pedigree.

Have you gotten this same error again? If so, can you tell us what operating system and browser you are using? If you are able to do screenshots or a video of the process showing what you are doing that leads to this error, it will help us to find out what is causing the error.
For your daughter's spouse and child, check that you didn't add them to your private FamilySearch Tree by accident. If hey do not show up in your private FamilySearch Tree, do they show up correctly now in thee Family Group Tree? Sometimes, the system takes a moment to refresh what it shows in the trees.

There have been a number of updates to the system since this error was posted. It should have been corrected in one of these updates. If you find that this is still occurring, please start a new post.
