Try "Ancestor Search" at the Library & Archives of Canada (free)

    https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/search/Pages/ancestors-search.aspx

    Immigration and citizenship

    • Passenger Lists for the Port of Quebec City and Other Ports, 1865-1922
    • Passenger Lists, 1865-1922
    • Citizenship Registration Records, 1851-1945 - Montreal Circuit Court
    • Home Children, 1869-1932
    • Immigrants at Grosse Île Quarantine Station, 1832-1937

Ancestry.com has emigration records (Leaving England)

Also check arrivals in New York, they may have gone their and traveled up to Canada.

If so then also check US/Canada border crossings.

I have an ancestor who was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1905, he at a much later dated visited someone in the USA and was asked when and where he was born and when and what ship he immigrated to Canada on, on the boarder crossing form.
