I am at a wall with my Great Grandfather 2HMS-J2F
I have tried everything I can think of to find my Great Great Grandfather. All of the immigration documents show in the reported Father and Mother section either I don't know or it is blank. Nick Wozniak was born 4 or (24 ) December 1874, depending on which document you rely on, in Dobromil, Lwow, Galacia, Poland. When I discussed Nick with living relatives who were acquainted with Nick, they all denied having any idea who his Father would be. I am sure that someone out there knows. I have his documents for Nick's immigration, which indicate that his father is unknown, as well as his residency and citizenship paperwork, which also list his father as unknown. Nick's father does not appear to have left Poland, and of course, with the many wars, shifting political events, and border changes, no one appears to know for sure where the Family got started or got lost. Directions, anyone please…..

I checked the Dobromil Roman-Catholic and Greek-Catholic birth records for years 1874-1873, and was not able to find there any record of Wozniak people. Often people do not state the place of their origin, which could be a small village, with difficult to spell the name, and prefer to give the name of a nearby larger town. Many of the records from Dobromil region have not been indexed, and maybe in the future, you will be able to find the birth record of Nicolaus (Mikolaj in Polish) Wozniak in Ukraine indexed records.

@sc woz a couple of things come to mind -
1) Have you tried getting a DNA test to help identify his siblings? It looks like you've built a MyHeritage profile, there might be some DNA links there.
2) There are 600 people listed with the name Wozniak in WikiTree, maybe some of these people are siblings to Nicholas?1
