New Error Call Out from Census

Like many people I research, Appolonie Springer GKK6-KFV lived in New York City in the 19th century. This morning I needed to clean up her profile after someone made a name change.

I noticed a new error message - for something that is not an error.

In 1870, the US census was taken twice in Manhattan, as well as in Philadelphia and Indianapolis.

While I don't mind the algorithm checking my work, 1870 is a special case. I already often have to repair profiles when another contributor doesn't know that there were two enumerations in 1870.

Could the algorithm be modified to consider the 2nd enumerations in those three cities? Or, at least, modify the error message. "most likely incorrect" is pretty emphatic and will likely cause the unaware to delete valuable source information. Perhaps "may need review" or something less drastic.

That error message appears on many family profiles including my 2nd GGM L8PR-LMP. The idea of having to repair all those profiles, again, because someone doesn't know about the 2nd enumeration is staggering.

Thanks for reviewing.

@Rhonda Budvarson and friends - Thanks!

I've spot-checked several of my Manhattan ancestors, and the misleading note about the 1870 census is no longer there.

    Thank you.
