Are there training courses or videos to train people who are newly called to work in the Stake Famil
I realize that each center has their own peculiarities, but would like some help or ideas here. I am a newly called FHC director and a number of new consultants are being called to the center. I would like to help them learn how to help patrons.

@Cindy Blevins this is a great question! While there isn't a formal training program, there are a few different resources that are great:
- Temple and Family History Callings on ChurchofJesusChrist.org (instruction for our callings and links to other resources!)
- Helper Resources (Great links for training, calling help, and basic FamilySearch help!)
- Consultant Planner (A resource for consultants to plan lessons for patrons and get ideas on how to help them!)

Additionally, The Family History Guide is a marvelous resource for learning almost all about FamilySearch, Ancestry, and two other on line databases. Though not sponsored officially the the Church, it is a frequently noted and referenced source of outstanding training for using FamilySearch "like a boss!" You (and they) can spend as little as 15 minutes at a time on a "bite sized" lesson - exceptionally well organized and presented, and an obvious true labor of love.

Check out thefhguide.com link on line. It teaches you all you might want to know and more... it helps you to teach others and it's great.

There's a video series called Helping Others Get Started With Family History made by Family History Library staff. It looks like it's designed for training FHL missionaries and other volunteers to assist patrons.
In FamilySearch go to the Help Menu / Help Center / T&FH consultants / Lessons tab. Put "Helping Others Get Started With Family History" in the search box to get the full list of 48 videos.
