Please help me find the people my great-grandmother was taken from
My maternal grandmother found out that her mother had been taken away from her parents and changed her name. She died in 1973 but we are trying to find her parents now. We think she was born in 1903 and was taken away in 1906. Her birth name was Bertha Strunk, and she changed her name to Margarite Mercer, although I may be misspelling her second first name. If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

You don't mention the location. A DNA test may help reveal relatives. Test your great grandmother's closest family members. I recommend using AncestryDNA, since they have the largest database and results can be moved elsewhere. It is also on sale right now.

More information: my grandmother, her daughter, was born in yellow springs, ohio and she had 3 daughters, two biological, one named liz, one helen, and my grandmother persis. Liz was adopted.
