I am trying to confirm if these two persons are same

In family search tree- Elis Hane GSD2-NBT and L2TY-5W1. The 2nd Elis I have traced from Sölvesborg house exam vol. 20 to move in 1873 to Malmo. Having trouble getting from there to Östra Degernas, Karlskoga 1856-60 vol 34, if these2 are same. Any suggestions or help much appreciated. Pg 342 in vol 34. Deniese

Oh my! I am sure it won't be in this lifetime but I will have an angel hug for you in the next. The move to Jerusalem will be interesting to find but wondering if going the other direction with the 2nd Elis will help. I still think they are same person but question the place of birth. The 2nd Elis in sources the 2 listed exams say Virserum, karlstad. The 4 exams in tasks for him say Virserum, Kalmar. According to wiki there is a Virserum, Kalmar but not karlstad. I understand karlstad county is actually Varmland- if I am reading correct- but the exams are quite clearly written. Elis #1 born in Varmland would make sense. Kalmar does not. ?????

Yes, 2nd Elis sources say Virserum, Karlstad län. Virsenum is a misspelling from Visnum and Värmland county has been called sometimes as Karlstad county because Karlstad is a capital city of Värmland county.

Did you look at the exams listed in the tasks for 2nd Elis. The 3 most recent say Kalmar. Was that error on part of person taking down info? Can you tell me what the Roman numerals are about- like the ones next to Jerusalem? Thank you thank you. I will keep working on other person you had helped with and will hope you have time to assist others and have time for your own family. Deniese

In those Record Hints, Elis Hane is correct person, but that clergy who had written the information, had written the birth place wrong. At first Visnum had changed to Virserum, Karlstad län and then some one had corrected also the county from Karlstad to Kalmar. As you had noticed that there is a real place called Virserum and it belongs to Kalmar county and that clergy maybe thought that someone had written Karlstad instead of Kalmar, quite similar names.

Roman numbers before Jerusalem, they are address numbers, they tell you the block or plot, where they lived. Jerusalem is the city district of Malmö.

Thank you for the explanation on Roman numerals and for pointing out that Jerusalem is in malmö. More to learn every day. Have a great day.
