I believe WILHELMINA MÜLLER was born 25 July 2011 in Höhscheid, Solingen, NRW, but need confirmation. I cannot decipher her father's name; her mother appears to be Anna Catharina Hartkopf. Any additional information about her parents (age, birthplace, occupation) could be very helpful. The witnesses' names and occupations might be interesting, especially if any are relatives. This record was downloaded from Landesarchiv NRW Rhineland department PA 2104/Register of Civil Status Elberfeld District Court No.2260-Volume: 1. No.85:

    Translation:

No. 85 Birth of Wilhelmina Müller

In the year 1805 on 25 July in the afternoon at five o'clock appeared before me, Johann Peter Becher, mayor of the municipality of Höhscheid, the pattern maker Isack Müller, living in Pilghaus above, with the announcement that on Wednesday, the 24th of this month of July, in the morning at four o'clock, a child of female gender was born to him by his wife Anna Catharina Hartkopf, to whom he gave the first name Wilhelmina.

Witnesses to this act were: Peter Beeumer, 55 years old, fire___?, resident in above Pilghaus, and Peter Johann Schmitz, 28 years old, scissors maker, resident in above Pilghausen.

<signatures> Isaac Müller. Peter Bäumer. Peter Johan Schmitz.

After reading all comparents have signed this birth certificate above.

Johann Peter Becher, Mayor of the Municipality of Höscheid.

    Comments:

The occupation of the father is given as Mustermacher. This can designate a specialist in the clothmaker industry, although I am not sure if this trade existed already in 1805.

I cannot make out the occupation of the first witness.

Pilghausen is a village a few miles NW of Höhscheid (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10826075).

Solingen is famous for top quality steel products. A company in Pilghausen was Friedrich Herder Abraham Sohn - possibly father and witnesses all worked there. Company still exists.

Thank you both @WSeelentag and @Ulrich Neitzel for a spectacular job deciphering and translating. Especially with Isaac/Isack/Jsack Müller. And thanks for correcting her date of birth.

Occupations are of interest because my family (Knecht) was in the knife-making business since at least the 1650s in and around Solingen (the "city of blades"). Nearly all births, marriages, deaths, and witnesses I have researched seem to involve others in that endeavor. "Spring steel smith" is new to me but sounds related to the production of the steel that others would turn into swords, knives, forks, scissors, etc.

    Thank you!!!
