Illnau ZH - Baptism - 1591 & 1593 - Brungger - Barbara
The marriage record of Barbara and her husband Gorg Egg lists her name as Barbara. However, the baptism records for the children of Barbara and her husband lists her name as Clybarbel (little or younger Barbel). When I look for her baptism record I find two possibilities: 1) Barbara baptized on 13 June 1591 (father is Uly Brungger), and 2) Barbara baptized on 2 December 1593 (father is Jacob Brungger). Uly and Jacob are most likely brothers because they both lived in the same small hamlet in Illnau. I’m trying to determine which of the two I descend from. So my question is would Barbara, born in 1593, be referred to as Clybarbel since she is the younger of the two? Your heip is appreciated.

So we have
1) Barbara baptized on 13 June 1591 (father is Uly Brungger)
2) Barbara baptized on 2 December 1593 (father is Jacob Brungger)
"Clybarbel" would be quite common with sisters - whether it also was used to differentiate two girls from related families, I just don't know. The first Bevölkerungsverzeichnis for Illnau is from 1634: have you checked this for possible hints?
Do you know her husband's name? If Hans Schmid from Illnau, you should definitely find this couple in the Bevölkerungsverzeichnis - hopefully with further info on the wife.
Otherwise I would consider this a case for a question in Geneal-Forum, where people with more experience in Zürich (than me) will read it.
