Mixing up records?
Venturing into a new field researching in Italy for a relative. I thought I had found the family until I found two separate marriages, very similar in the same year. Now I am worried I have gone astray.
P4SK-DVY Paolo Luigi Antonio Volpone married Caterina Antonia Demartini, 28 April 1879, Lorsica, Genoa. Then I found another Paolo Luigi Volpone marriage banns to Caterina Antonia Pellevertura. Same dates, same place, same ages, same parents.
All except Catarina's mother being
Luigia Arate in one and Luigia Mala in the other. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you please provide links to the specific records? I suspect it's probably just a bad AI transcription.

It looks like one is 24 Mar 1879 and the other is 28 Apr 1879.
Thank you for looking into this for me.0 -
One is from the allegati (supporting marriage records) and is just an extracted copy of the certificate of publication. It doesn't say Pellevertura in the text; the handwriting is awful but it still says the bride is Caterina Antonia Demartini. And I would say the bride's mother is Arata - it is much easier to see on the extracted 1861 baptism record of the bride: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GGRJ-8L5. Unfortunately the church records in FamilySearch / Antenati end in 1859 so you can't compare it with the original, but here is the baptism of a likely older sibling of Caterina Antonia born in 1856 - you can clearly see the mother's name is Luigia Arata: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua201551/5Gb2vpg
The second document (Pubblicazione di Matrimonio) is the original request for publication of intended marriage made on 24 Mar 1879. In the margin are the dates the actual publications were made - 30 Mar and 6 Apr 1879. The mother is Luigia Arata but the AI did not "read" it well and transcribed it as Mala. I changed the indexing and changed the profile in FS to correct it (and the 1856 child Andrea is in FS so I merged the parents together).
The actual marriage was 28 Apr 1879: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GGRX-RCV
In summary, these are all documents for the same marriage.

BTW - Giovanni DeMartini and Luigia Arata married in 1851 in Sant'Andrea parish in Verzi (a frazione of Lorsica). Luigia was born in what looks like Bainette(?) but I'm not sure where that might be - possibly Beinette in Cuneo province.
