My 5th great grandfather is Erik Pehrson (# KDBD-KCK). I show that he was born 22 October 1731 and died 12 January 1803 at Baggbol, Julita Parish, Södermanland, Sweden.

I show that he had 2 sons, Pehr born January 1763 in Julita Parish and another son Eric born 17 December 1781.

I haven't been able to find a mother for either of the boys and was hoping someone could look in the marriage records to see if you could find the marriage for Erik Pehrson. I'm thinking that the boys may have had different mothers because of the age difference between the boys' birth years.

Thank you!

I see the Household examination record which shows Erik Persson (b. 22 Oct 1731) with sons Per Eriksson (b. Jan 1763) and Erik Eriksson (b. 17 Dec 1781). This parish is keeping separate household examination records for the males and females! Erik and his boys are the first family in Baggbol farm/village. The women are in another book. If you look at the female Household examination book, the first woman in Baggbol is "wife Kjerstin Johansdotter (b. 1751). See here for that record: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0006778_00160#?xywh=534%2C1887%2C1270%2C1068&cv=159 .

Looking for a Per or Pehr Eriksson (who lives in Baggbol) marrying a Kjerstin Johansdotter I find their marriage in May 1779 (the day is not recorded!). That marriage record is here: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0006816_00262#?xywh=2736%2C1173%2C2077%2C1182&cv=261&rid=https%3A%2F%2Flbiiif.riksarkivet.se%2Farkis!C0006816%2Frange%2Fr1-3-25 . The record has his occupation as "Namdeman = Juryman" and she is a widow from Råby.

Most of the birthdates mentioned in these Household examination records appear to be incorrect. However, the daughter (Annika Larsdotter) listed under Kjerstin Johansdotter in the womens' book appears to be the daughter of Kjerstin Johansdotter and Lars Pehrsson in Råby. That works with Kjerstin Johansdotter being a widow who lives in Råby when she marries Per Eriksson. Annika's birth record is here: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0006816_00107#?xywh=686%2C3667%2C1745%2C2199&cv=106&rid=https%3A%2F%2Flbiiif.riksarkivet.se%2Farkis!C0006816%2Frange%2Fr1-2-39 .

I suspect that the daughter Stina Ericksdotter (b. 17?8) written in under Annica Larsdotter is Erik Persson's daughter, but have not been able to locate a birth record for her. If that birth record can be located, and she is the daughter of Per Eriksson, you should be able to get the mother's name.

    Norm,

Thank you for the WONDERFUL research you did for me! I had no idea that Julita Parish recorded the men and women separately! PLUS the handwriting is terrible!

On the marriage record you listed for Pehr Eriksson and Kjerstin (May 1779) I can't see how they would be married……. Wouldn't Kjerstin Johansdotter have been married to Pehr's father — Erik Pehrsson (b. 1731)? I can't see Kjerstin married to son Pehr and being 12 years older than him; I can however, see her being married to Erik (b. 1731) and being 20 years younger. My father's 2nd wife was 20 years younger than him!!!

I believe that Erik (b. 1731) was married to Kjerstin Johansdotter (b. 1751) and they had a son Eric Eriksson (b. 1781) - who died in Baggbol in 1804.

We know that Kjerstin (b. 1751) was previously married to Lars Pehrsson from Råby and they had Annika. When Kjerstin marries Erik Pehrsson (in 1779) then that would be when Annika would have met Pehr Eriksson and they would have married. After Pehr dies in 1795, Annika marries on 9 October 1800 Lars Larsson (b. 24 July 1774) and has 6 children with him

So in my records, I have Annika Larsdotter (b. 1771) married to our Pehr Eriksson (b. 1763). I show the marriage to have been on 8 October 1789. They have 2 children, Catharina Pehrsson (b. 1791) and a son Eric Pehrsson (b. May 1795). The father Pehr Eriksson dies in March of 1795 - 2 months before his son Eric is born.

WOW! This family has my brain in knots! Thanks again! Let me know what you think!

Sorry about that! You are correct! I meant to say that Erik Persson was marrying Kjerstin Johansdotter in May 1779.

It isn't at all uncommon for a man or woman to marry someone who is much younger or older than them in a second marriage, especially if one of the marrying couple is a widow or widower. I once found a 74 year old widower marrying a 28 year old "pige = maiden"! And they had a child the next year!!
