Quality Control
I found that "quality control" for sources has listed 4 censuses for 1 person with the note meaning "Do not tag residences." Wouldn't it make more sense to program censuses so no tags would appear even if tagged by users? It should help everyone if we do not have to worry about that. Otherwise, we will be continually plagued by having to do this manually —forever!
They also had a person tagged for having discrepancies in birth date. I told them that I explained this in the Memories for the person. Miners or other workers who immigrated to USA had many reasons to change their birth dates. Who should I send my general article to? After researching over 50 yrs I know that this is a problem that will be confronted by anyone who encounters people who entered our country to work in physical jobs. I think I could help a lot of people if someone would listen. mbezold

The Data Quality Control is not any group of people. It's just an automated routine.
I'm not sure what to make of your first comment. The program is designed to encourage us to tag all information with sources. That "Do not tag residences" doesn't make any sense at all. Can you post the specific example where you are seeing this so people here can see what is going on?
Regarding birth date discrepancies, there is no "them" to tell anything to. The routine is simply comparing what is on a profile and what is in an indexed source and marking differences. It is not doing and cannot do a full research analysis of every piece of information on a profile. So when you know what accounts for that discrepancy, it is up to you to click on the flag, click dismiss, and put in a brief reason:
Click on the notice to come here:
Click on Dismiss to enter a reason the click the second Dismiss to get rid of the flag:
Don't forget, computers, even when running AI routines, are dumb. They cannot read. They can only compare whether two numbers are the same or different and add 1+1 to get 10 but they can do a lot of these two tasks really fast. This routine cannot read anything you have put in Memories.

Nice reply as always. "Don't forget, computers, even when running AI routines, are dumb. They cannot read." How about in a real sense all AI routines are dumb in another sense some AI routines are dumb? In many cases, they can be improved. AI can "read" more than just indexes.
You know a lot more about this than I do — do the routines used for Quality Control really amount to Artificial Intelligence? It seems to me that it's more simple than what I've seen AI do.

@BezoldMarlaEllen Thanks for your feedback!
Gordon is correct on how to dismiss warnings. We also didn't understand the comment "I found that "quality control" for sources has listed 4 censuses for 1 person with the note meaning "Do not tag residences." Wouldn't it make more sense to program censuses so no tags would appear even if tagged by users?" Could you clarify this?@RobertTest The routines used for Quality Control is not an Artificial Intelligence or LLM, it is Algorithmic. We are working to expose some of our rules so that it's clearer how it works.
Thanks!2
