I've noted that some people indexing sources use X rather than Chri or such. The Data Quality Score isn't effected but this is flagged. X probably should not be used in such cases, never the less it needs to be accomodated by the software.

    They use the X because that is how the name is spelled in the original records and basic indexing best practice is to enter what the record says. Using the Greek letter Chi in this way was a fairly common usage by priests in Norway in the 1700s.     So the X really should be used because that is correct indexing. But I agree that if there is some way for the programming to realize that Xtoffer and Christoffer are the same name, in the same way that it accounts for Johnson and Johnsen, that would be good.
