Can someone please advise about Polish archives of German origin, pre WWII

I understand from other researchers that my ancestors who lived in the Goerlitz area, now part of Poland…their recrods possibly could be found in the Polish archives. The area mentioned is Rothwasser. When I use Meyers Gaz, I get the following info…

Rothwasser, Liegnitz, Schlesien, Preussen

Can someone please advise where I need to look and what to ask specifically, do I email the archive or mail???
