Attempting to Dismiss "residence that is not supported by any tagged indexed sources" fails

If I add my own transcription of a digital extract from the civil register of Births, attach it to (in this case) the Birth of Elizabeth Little ID: LYMG-VS6 and complete an explanation, after clicking 'Dismiss' I get a message : "! Something went wrong. Please try again later."

In this case it is not unimportant since Elizabeth is only baptized 8 years later and in a different place, so it is important to be sure that we have the right person. The extract is sufficient to that purpose.

The Source Tagging message is unhelpful since it can lead people to doubt the veracity of the statement that this is indeed the right person. So What to do?

I do understand that my self-made transcription is not a FamilySearch-indexed item, so the statement is not inaccurate. Nonetheless, it remains curious that we cannot apply evidence from outside the system to influence the score.

Note also that I think it is unlikely that at some future date FamilySearch will gain access to extracts from the civil register in England and Wales.

That error message does not state the flag cannot be dismissed. Only that there is a current glitch in the system preventing the process from completing. I tried just now and it still is not working. If it's a bug in the programming I would hope they are working on it. If it's a server hiccup I hope it clears soon. If it's a server crashing they'll get it replaced.

Just try again tomorrow to dismiss it.

@Gordon Collett Tried again this evening and received again the same error message. The message indeed does not say that the flag cannot be dismissed, but apparently it can't be got rid of (or the problem is taking a long time to clear). .

I can imagine there might be good reasons for refusing to take the word of a random person on the internet when determining questions of validity. Nonetheless, I don't feel entirely comfortable with this particular message since the implicit message suggests that FamilySearch is comprehensive in its collections.

In your separate post earlier today you have raised this as a question. We'll see what comes of it.

I tries this again today with the same result, the error message "! Something went wrong. Please try again later."

Could I ask someone from the staff to look into this please.
