Following is a comment on the conflict in a standard of a place identification: "The standard "Quelle, Brackwede, Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany" (ID: 9177919) is used for dates from 1945 onward. This conflicts with the birth date of 1 January 1813." Quelle was identified as the place name in the parish register. Should the standardization of place conform to the source (record) or to history. It is difficult to decide when we look at the sources and extractions and then attempt to find a standardization for that time period. I often have difficulty in selecting a best designation because the options for standardization don't offer a standardization for the time period (earlier in time).

"Quelle" is not the problem that is being pointed out. The problem is "Germany" which did not exist until 1871. This is a rather complex problem that has been reported several times. For an in depth discussion of this, see:

    https://community.familysearch.org/discussion/179399/standard-place-names-for-german-places-before-1871

If you look up Quelle with the ID 9177919 in the Places database: https://www.familysearch.org/en/research/places/?pagesize=100&text=9177919&focusedId=9177919

you can see that Quelle does have a historical time period of 1816 to 1871 which gets you closer to that 1813 birth date but which will still be flagged as a conflict.

If you go to that link posted above for Quelle's entry in the database, you can click the Suggest Improvements link to request that a time period for before 1816 be added. I don't know enough about German history to even suggest what that might be. Looking up Westphalia in Wikipedia, things were really complicated.

Looking up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bielefeld , it states Bielefeld was "Founded in 1214 by Count Hermann IV of Ravensberg to guard a pass crossing the Teutoburg Forest, Bielefeld was the "city of linen" as a minor member of the Hanseatic League, known for bleachfields into the 19th century.[5] Bielefeld was part of the Kingdom of Westphalia when it was created in 1807.[6] In 1815 it was incorporated into the Kingdom of Prussia following the defeat of France and the Congress of Vienna." So my guess would be you need to suggest the addition of an 1807 to 1815 time span with structure of Quelle, Brackwede, Bielefeld, Westphalia with Westphalia being the kingdom and top level place name.
