Source documents - may I link to my website?
Many of my source documents have images, i.e. obituaries, birth certificates etc. I have my tree on my website, and all the images are in one folder there.
The GEDCOM I uploaded to CET was built for my website, and has the images' filenames. The filenames aren't fully qualified, so they are kicking out as errors. Would it be permissible to resubmit the GEDCOM with full URLs in the filenames so the images will be displayed?
So far the rest of the upload seems to be great! The GEDCOM was generated from Legacy Family Tree v. 9. I am looking forward to working with this great new resource you have created.

Sara,
You can have sources with links to external URLs. In fact a user can create a source pointing to any valid URL on the internet. If you import sources with valid URLs these should persist when you import your gedcom. It sounds like the gedcom you uploaded did not have valid URLs, but rather filename pointers to files in a folder of your hard drive, and that you would like to reupload the gedcom with the filenames replaced with valid URLs, and then have that reuploaded gedcom update your existing CET. Did I get that right?
Unfortunately, there is no mechanism whereby a reuploaded Gedcom can update an existing CET. The only way to make this happen would be to delete the existing CET and create a new one with the updated Gedcom.
Another possible future option:
Many 3rd party products are integrating with the CETs and will be able to both create and update CETs directly from within their software (no gedcom files needed at all). While I can't speak to the development status of any specific developer, you might reach out to the vendor of your product of choice. most of these are building their software to "adopt" an existing CET that was created via GEdcom upload. They will then be able to update that CET from their software.0

I deleted the old tree, modified the gedcom so it had fully qualified filenames, and uploaded. It worked! Thanks so much!
