Sweden - Checking relationships
Sven Sameulsson, born 11 October 1761 in Rogslösa and dies 23 November 1844 in Fivelstad.
I believe Gustaf Svensson, born 10 October 1792 in Fivelstad, is the son of Sven. He is the head of household in the family just above Sven.

I believe the probate record sustains this

Do I have this correct? There are gaps in the available record and conflicting birth information for Sven in FamilySearch so I am trying to make sure I have followed the information that is available correctly.

@David2,666 I have drawn the same conclusion and I already have the records you have shared. Since the birth information shown for Sven Samuelsson in FamilySearch as being born in Fivelstad and not Rogslösa I have been being extra careful about completed this information.
This time period is a big a of struggle since there is a gap in the household books in Fivelstad. There are none available from 1789-1816. The record you shared from Västra Stenby is the record that made me stop and wonder if this was his father since it says Fadren Enkoman and they moved together several times.
The household record I have in 1780-1789 does not show any birth information for Sven so I am trying to be extra sure.

Fadren enkeman, I would translate it to father, widower. I also checked the alternative parish around the area but they didn't have any household examination records, eg records A. From the sources you have above I wouldn't hesitate to use these dates and relatives

@David2,666 I would agree with that. It does not specifically state though that Sven Samuelsson is the father of Gustaf Svensson. Does it seem likely yes but I like to do all I can not to make assumptions. Which brings me back to the probate record that I shared at the beginning. From what I can make out on the record Sven Samulesson's son is Guataf Svensson and I think that it confirms that the Gustaf at the top of the household record is his son but the Titles do not seem to match which I why I would like more information on that record to make sure I have it correct.

I still believe that Sven is the father of Gustaf just from looking at the household examination records. It even says in the probate "och efter sig lämnat en son. Brukaren Gustaf Svensson"

Ok. I see that. On the household record to says Hälftenbrukare? or Hälstenbrukare? What does that mean? I tried looking it up but did not get anything helpful.

Hälftenbrukare was a system uesed in some parts of southern Sweden. A farmer divided his harvest between the person who owned the land and him self. Brukare, was not necesarilly the owner of a piece of land but he was the one farming it. Hälften means 50% or divided by 2.

@David2,666 Thank you for helping me to see the information that was there. I think I got too focused and missed it. Thank you for your help.
