Sweden - Translation of notes about fästeqvinna
I remembered that we had talked about this before @Ulrich Neitzel so I went back to review what you had taught me. I want to make sure that I am interpreting the notes correctly.
Olof Persson and Margreta Persdotter are betrothed on 19 April 1864. They had a child together - Catharina Olsdotter, born 27 February 1864. In 3 March 1869 they ended their betrothal and Margreta married Jonas Eklöf. Did I get this correct?

Unfortunately, I don't remember our conversation about this case. From the record, however, I gather that Olof and Margareta were engaged before the birth of their daughter, Catharina. 19 April 1864 is the date of "kyrktaging" (churching) after the birth. As a betrothed woman (fästeqvinna) she was exempt from the penitential ritual required after an illegitimate birth. On 3 Mars 1869 they received a divorce decree from the cathedral chapter.

@Ulrich Neitzel We haven't talked about this couple before. I ran into the term fästeqvinna a while ago and you took the time to teach me about it and how it affected the person. Last night I came across it again and went and looked back at our conversation and the resources and was excited that I remembered it. I am so grateful that you took the time to teach me and that I had a better understanding of the situation when I came across it yesterday.
