My name is Michael Duggan and my family hails from Donegal, Limerick and Tipperary Ireland. My hope is to learn more search strategies on locating records in Ireland.
My Great Grand Father Patrick Bernard Duggan, from Donegal, came to the US and my brick wall now is determining his fathers name. I've been trying to locate his birth records and hit the wall each time.

You might consider posting this on the Ireland research group in case anyone has any suggestions.
Another strategy I have used with success (sometimes) when I can't think of anything else is to do an internet search quoting the information that you do have and then see what comes up. I did this for: "Patrick Bernard Duggan from Donegal, Ireland" and quite a bit of information came up from the website IrelandXO. I don't do any followup checking on this information but it might help you move forward.

"…I didn't do any followup…" (Sorry for my grammar ….)
