Who holds Cemetery Records?
In trying to find my grandfather's resting place, I found that the Find A Grave memorial seems to have misidentified the grave (the marker is a rock without an inscription).
Who holds the original records of a cemetery?

It also can depend on what state you live in. E.g.
In Ohio, the Ohio Department of Commerce registers cemeteries that are operated by private entities, churches, religious societies, or political subdivisions. The Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing also resolves complaints against registered cemeteries or those required to be registered. Additionally, local officials like township trustees, city directors of public service, or village mayors are responsible for maintaining cemeteries within their respective jurisdictions.

@bencro01 You can search in the FamilySearch Catalog for the cemetery listing, or reach out to a local Historical or Family History Society to see if they know about the original information. You might also do a google search for that cemetery by name and location to find out who currently keeps it up. If it is a private family cemetery you will want to contact the owner of the land that it lies on to find out what they know about it and to get permission to visit.

The cemetery is Bloomfield Cemetery in Knox County, NE. I'll also check out the Wiki
