Questions about record additions to Catalog

I'm interested in info about new records data getting added to the FamilySearch catalog.

Is there something like an overview of data updates the catalog, which provides a summary of:

  • what was added (ie record type: birth, marriage, death, etc)
  • for what place in the world
  • an approximate date range of the added data
  • when it was added to FamilySearch

For example, there are locations I keep my eye on, such as church records from this state in this country. A year ago, I searched for records in a date range and name, but no results appeared. But a few months ago, some new data was digitized and put into FamilySearch.

How do I know if there's more data available to search through for a given collection or catalog item?
If something like this exists, could somebody point it out to me?
If something like this doesn't exist, could I make a feature request?

@Radiant95 About once a month FamilySearch publishes a list of new collections that were added. Here is the May 2025 article: https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/new-records-may-2025
