It states there is a conflict because some records show her last name as Persdotter and some show Peterson. Her father when by Per or Pehr, but his birth and christening record show Peter. I'm not sure where to put this information to make it clear and fix the conflict!

Thank you! Joellen McAlister

This really should be fixed in the routine itself. In Scandinavia Per, Pehr, Pär, Pähr, Peder, Peter, and Petter are all the same name, as are all their various patronymics with -sdatter, -sdatter, -sen, -ssen, -son, -sson, -søn, -ssøn, -zen, -szen.

Regarding fixing the conflict as things stand now, however, it is actually giving you some important information. All three flags look like this:

This is information that should be included on her profile page. In order to get rid of these flags, instead of dismissing them, I would add this alternate name:

Not all people used the same last name in the United States as they did before emigrating and what their name in the US was is very useful information for looking for US records. It needs to be set as English and an explanation given because for the time period she lived in Sweden, Peterson would never have been a correct last name and she would never have used it there.
