    Translation:

In the year 1812, on 18 December, at 1 p.m., appeared before me, the undersigned first preacher of the parish of Heepen, the hireling Johann Henrich Schörrmann, [residing] at No. 12 in the community Brönninghausen, aged 61 years, and the hireling Friederich Rethemeyer, [residing] at No. 28 in the community Heepen, aged 31 years, and stated that the widow Margarethe Ilsabein Austmeier died in their neighbourhood at No. 5 in the community Heepen on 14 December at 4 p.m. at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 13 days, leaving behind four sons. I convinced myself by ? of the real death of the same. I have recorded the present deed in both ___?, have read it aloud and signed it with one witness, as the other, according to his statement, was unfamiliar with writing. In the year and day as before.
    Carl Heinrich Munte, Friedrich Reichmeyer
